The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) celebrated the birth anniversary of Bhagat Namdev Ji with devotion. In this connection, the bhog (culmination) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib was held at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Gurbakhsh Singh Ji at Sri Darbar Sahib Complex, after which Bhai Surinder Singh’s raagi jatha connected the Sangat (congregation) with Gurbani kirtan. Ardas was offered by Bhai Baljit Singh and the holy hukamnama was recited by Granthi Giani Rajdeep Singh of Sri Harmandar Sahib.

Giani Rajdeep Singh shared his views with the Sangat on the occasion and introduced them to the life of Bhagat Namdev Ji and encouraged them to follow his teachings.

He said that the Bani (holy writings) of Bhagat Namdev Ji is a source of inspiration for humanity, which gives the guidance of divine and human unity. He commended the SGPC for celebrating important days of Sikh history and encouraged the Sangat to adopt Bani and Bana (Gurbani and traditional Sikh attire).

On this occasion SGPC’s Dharam Prachar Committee member Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhayasi, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, assistant secretary S. Nirvail Singh, superintendent S. Malkit Singh Beharwal, Manager S. Baghel Singh, S. Nishan Singh and others were present.
