Amritsar:  Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh has strongly condemned the act of stopping Amritdhari (initiated) Sikh students from sitting in Class X examination in Bokaro, Jharkhand.

S. Harjinder Singh said the Government of Jharkhand should mark a probe in this matter and take strict action against the accused principal. “The Kakaars (five symbols of Sikh faith) are part of Sikh living and under the constitutional right, the Sikhs have the freedom of the same”, said S. Harjinder Singh.

SGPC President said it cannot be tolerated that the Sikh students are facing such inconvenience during the exams in the country.

“SGPC has written to the Government of India and different state governments several times in this regard, but it is surprising that such excesses are still being deliberately done against the Sikh students”, said S. Harjinder Singh.
