Chandigarh-The Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C on Monday has exhorted all of the Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) of the state to conduct the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024 in a clean and clear method.
Speaking on the launch of a five-day coaching programme for Assistant Returning Officers on the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, he stated, “India is known as a strong democracy all over the world, and it is the duty of all of us to perform our duties with utmost diligence and responsibility.”
He additional disclosed that on the instructions of the Election Commission of India, a certification programme is being performed for the Assistant Returning Officers of Punjab and Chandigarh from February 12 to 16 at Chandigarh and Amritsar. In this programme, assistant returning officers of all of the 117 meeting constituencies of Punjab are being educated on varied matters associated to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024. CEO Sibin C stated that AROs are being educated by national-level grasp trainers. Training has been organized for 59 AROs of Punjab and 10 AROs of UT Chandigarh in Chandigarh and 58 Assistant Returning Officers of Punjab at Amritsar.
