Union Home Minister Amit Shah is predicted to attend a mega BJP rally in Kolkata on November 29 staged by the saffron social gathering towards alleged irregularities by the West Bengal authorities in implementing the centrally-sponsored 100-day job scheme beneath MGNREGA.
The proposed rally is being considered as a counter motion towards the Trinamool Congress’s protest final month in Delhi towards the Centre’s reluctance to launch funds beneath completely different schemes, particularly the MGNREGA.
In the November 29 rally, the state BJP management desires to show a gathering of these rural individuals who have been disadvantaged of being employed beneath the 100-day job scheme due to the alleged irregularities within the distribution of job playing cards.
Speaking on the opportunity of Shah attending the rally, state BJP president Sukanta Majumdar stated on Saturday that the social gathering management in West Bengal desires the Union Home Minister’s presence on the occasion to make it historic.
“So we are keen about his presence at the rally… If everything goes as per schedule and unless the Union Home Minister is stuck with a last moment emergency, he will be present at the rally, ” Majumdar stated.
Meanwhile, a BJP committee chief stated that the Union Minister of State for Rural Development Giriraj Singh and the State Minister Niranjan Jyoti will attend the rally and in addition handle the gathering.
