Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab authorities will widen and strengthen the Bela-Behrampur street beneath Rupnagar district at a price of Rs 4.80 crore.
While divulging particulars, Punjab Public Works Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO mentioned that beneath the NABARD-28 scheme, widening and strengthening of Bela-Behrampur street (ODR-07) can be carried out by the state authorities. He mentioned that the size of this street is 8.05 km and the present width is eighteen toes/24.5 toes. He mentioned that the tender course of has been began for this work and the goal has been set to finish this work in 6 months.
The Cabinet Minister mentioned that this street connects Chamkaur Sahib block of district Rupnagar with Machiwara, district Ludhiana. He mentioned that because of the enhance in site visitors on this street, its present situation has deteriorated, as a result of which frequent persons are going through a variety of difficulties. He mentioned that the 18 toes part of this street will now be widened to 23 toes and BC can be put in on the whole street.
Harbhajan Singh ETO additional mentioned that as per the demand of the residents of Village Taprian Amar Singh, the street can be elevated close to the village and a drain may also be constructed for the correct channelisation of rainwater. He mentioned that directions have been issued to the officers involved to finish this work on time.
