Mohali-The atmosphere of Punjab assembly elections seems to be warming up, the pair of bluffmasters Sidhu brothers are once again trying to mislead the people of Mohali. Both the brothers are once again trying to fool the people by laying foundation stone at different places in the city at the very last moment just before elections.
These views were expressed by Sardar Kulwant Singh, Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate from Mohali constituency and former Mayor of Mohali Municipal Corporation. Kulwant Singh was addressing a packed gathering at his office here today. Addressing the media, Kulwant Singh said that the sitting Congress MLA from Mohali constituency has not done any work in this area in the last five years and is now doing mere drama by laying the foundation stone in the last days of the Congress government’s tenure.
After the failure of two bus stands in the city, the foundation stone of the third bus stand is being laid again and this too will prove to be a drama.
He said that in the villages of Mohali assembly constituency, the illegal occupation of land by MLA Sidhu is there in the media on daily basis.
Apart from this, this pair of Sidhu brothers, popularly known as liquor mafia in the city, has also been involved in capturing booths in the municipal elections and MLA Sidhu even went to the extent of booth capturing to make his brother Jiti Sidhu the mayor of Mohali Municipal Corporation.
Kulwant Singh said that this time the people of Mohali assembly constituency are fed up with the excesses of Congress MLA and people have seen the tenure of Akalis. Therefore, this time the people of Mohali will contribute in forming the government of Aam Aadmi Party.
He also said that after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government, employment opportunities will be provided to the youth going abroad by vacating the land grabbed by illegal occupants and using it judiciously thereby creating opportunities for the youth
He appealed to the people of Mohali constituency to do their part in bringing an honest government this time by voting for the Aam Aadmi Party’s election symbol ‘Broom’.
