 Sunam Udham Singh Wala: Punjab Information and Public Relations, New and Renewable Energy Sources, Housing and Urban Development and Printing and Stationery Minister Aman Arora distributes grants of Rs. 1.61 crore to Gram Panchayats of various villages for comprehensive development of villages here at Sunam.

 

Addressing on this occasion, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, no stone will be left unturned for the comprehensive development of the state. He said that the cities and rural areas were being developed in a systematic manner and he himself was fully aware of the major requirements of the people of Sunam assembly constituency and all will be fulfilled in a phased manner on a priority basis.

 

Cabinet Minister Aman Arora has given 41 lakh rupees to Gram Panchayats of 14 villages for renovation of ponds, construction of toilets and other basic works, 65 lakh rupees for renovation of ponds in 7 villages, 40 lakh rupees for construction of memorial gates in 4 villages, 8.75 lakhs for solar lights in 5 villages including solid waste management management and cremation ground of one village.

 

On this occasion, Mr. Arora said that an amount of Rs. 98 lakh has been approved by the Punjab government for the construction of new rooms in 7 government senior secondary schools of the constituency. He said that the process of construction of the rooms has been instructed to be completed in this financial year.

 

The cabinet minister said that the Punjab government was committed to solve all the issues of the people seriously. He said that for the all-round development of Sunam, Longowal and Cheema, major projects have been identified and were being worked on in a planned manner along with the administration of the district. Arora said that soon fruitful results will be in front of everyone. The minister told the panchayats receiving grants that this money is people’s money which should be used in a transparent manner. He said that corruption will not be tolerated by the Punjab government at all.

 

Mr. Arora said that it is a tragedy of Punjab that the previous governments did not provide basic facilities in the state even in 70 years while now the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is active day and night to meet the needs of the people. 

 

On this occasion, BDPO Sangrur Gurdarshan Singh, BDPO Sunam Sanjeev Kumar, Mukesh Juneja, Sanjeev Kansal Sanju, Jaspal Kaur Chairperson Block Samiti Sangrur, Sukh Sahoke, Malkit Singh, Kala Badrukhan, Ram Singh Quila Bharian, Sandeep Duggan, Mithu Duggan, Deepa Tolawal, Kuldeep Singh Sheron, Mukhtiar Sidhu, Pargat Singh, Mandeep, Balwinder Singh Elwal, Kuljit Sibian, Manpreet Singh, Gurtej Singh Bakshiwala, Satgur Singh, Avtar Singh Ubhawal, Jagsir Jharon, Vicky Kunnar, Mota Singh Dhindsa were also present.
