Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Monday inaugurated a two-day conclave organised by the high-level committee for city planning in collaboration with the Town and Country Planning Department right here that noticed over 100 members, comprising bureaucrats and technocrats.

The goal of the conclave is to deliberate upon and to share the experiences with stakeholders concerning the state-specific initiatives and insurance policies of Haryana on city planning, public personal partnership and reasonably priced housing.

“Based on the deliberations, the conclave aims to set the future roadmap for urbanisation in Haryana, ” an official assertion stated.

Four technical periods have been held on the primary day. The first session was chaired by Keshav Varma, high-level committee Chairman. The theme of the session was ‘Capacity Augmentation of Urban Planning’. In this session, displays have been made by Amit Khatri, Director, Town and Country Planning, P.S.N. Rao, Dean, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and Anshika Gupta, Specialist Urban Development, NITI Aayog.

An official stated the conclave has given a wider platform to the city and city planning professionals for cross-learning about practices and strategies of their occupation being adopted in different states in addition to overseas. He stated the suggestions of the conclave would assist bettering the city planning system being practiced within the state.

The high-level committee for city planning was constituted by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
