Chandigarh- Former Congress legislator Kulbir Singh Zira was arrested by the police from his residence within the Zira city in Punjab’s Ferozepur district early Tuesday and despatched to a jail until October 31.
He alongside together with his supporters was booked for obstructing a block growth programme officer (BDPO) discharging the responsibility.
Zira had alleged corruption by the BDPO workplace in getting the grant launched to the panchayats. He was staging a sit-in protest in opposition to the BDPO for ignoring the curiosity of the individuals.
After his arrest Zira was produced earlier than the sub-divisional judicial Justice of the Peace at his residence and despatched to the Ferozepur jail until October 31.
