New Delhi- The Delhi Police showcased its all-women band for the primary time on the Republic Day parade, led by the proficient Band Master, Sub Inspector Ruyangunuo Kense. Comprising 4 girls sub-inspectors and 81 girls constables, the Delhi Police Brass and Pipe Band marked a major milestone within the power’s custom.

The melodious tunes of the ‘Delhi Police Song’ echoed by the air because the all-women band proudly displayed their musical prowess, capturing the viewers’s consideration and applause.

Adding to the grandeur of the parade, the Delhi Police marching contingent, a 15-time winner of the perfect marching contingent title, made historical past with the inclusion of an all-women contingent.

Leading the best way was Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Shweta Ok. Sugathan, IPS, bringing forth a way of delight and achievement.

The contingent, adorned in distinctive Red Safas, featured smartly-attired girls representing the Delhi Police power.

Among them have been one Additional DCP, three girls Sub Inspectors, 44 girls Head Constables, and 100 girls Constables. Notably, this contingent has the distinctive honour of taking part within the Republic Day Parade since India’s inception as a Republic in 1950.
