The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Bibi Jagir Kaur met Bibi Paramjit Kaur Chhabra, Director of Gujarat Minorities Commission and President of Sikh Foundation Gujarat, to discuss the work being done for the propagation of the Sikh faith in Gujarat.

During the meeting, Bibi Jagir Kaur was apprised about the issues pertaining to the Sikhs of Gujarat and expressed the commitment of the SGPC to extend all possible cooperation in the field of Dharam Prachar (propagation of Sikh faith).

On this occasion Bibi Paramjit Kaur Chhabra invited Bibi Jagir Kaur to visit Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar Lakhpat in Kachchh district of Gujarat. Bibi Paramjit Kaur apprised the SGPC President that there is a need for holy saroops (scriptures) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in various Gurdwaras in Gujarat, and sought the arrangements should be made to send the same as per the demand of the Sangat (community). She said that the Sikh Foundation Gujarat in collaboration with the SGPC would continue to work for the propagation of the Sikh faith in Gujarat so that the Sikh community could be connected with its heritage.

On this occasion Bibi Paramjit Kaur was accompanied by the President of Gurdwara Sahib Gandhidham S. Jagtar Singh and Secretary, Gurdwara Mani Nagar, Ahmedabad S. Parvir Singh Saluja.
