Amritsar-The first assembly of the five-member high-level committee fashioned by Sri Akal Takht Sahib to carry talks with the Centre authorities on the difficulty of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana and different Bandi Singhs (Sikh prisoners) was held right here at present on the headquarters of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).
The assembly was attended by SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Harmeet Singh Kalka, managing editor of Ajit Publishing Group Barjinder Singh Hamdard, Bhai Rajoana’s sister Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur Rajoana and senior Akali chief Virsa Singh Valtoha.
After holding severe discussions within the assembly which lasted for greater than two hours, talking to the media, Harjinder Singh Dhami stated that it has been determined to carry talks with the Centre Government about Bhai Rajoana and different Sikh prisoners. In this regard, a letter is being written to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to present time for a gathering with this committee fashioned by Akal Takht Sahib. He stated that within the preliminary assembly of this committee, it has been determined to barter with the Government of India on the difficulty of Sikh prisoners in a pleasant ambiance and additional steps shall be taken on this path.
