The Haryana Government has introduced an modification to the Haryana Civil Service (Executive Branch) Rules, 2008, aiming to extend inclusivity for Divyangs or People with Disabilities within the state’s administrative providers, an official stated on Saturday.

The modification, notified by Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, permits the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) to loosen up the minimal qualifying marks within the English and Hindi language exams (obligatory papers) for Divyangs showing within the HCS (Executive Branch) examination.

While the usual minimal qualifying mark stays 45 per cent, the HPSC can now decrease it to 35 per cent if adequate candidates with benchmark disabilities aren’t out there, a authorities spokesperson stated.

This transfer addresses a long-standing problem confronted by Divyangs aspiring to hitch the civil providers.
