The scheme, Financial Assistance to Persons Suffering from Rare Diseases, comes within the wake of the growing prevalence of uncommon illnesses affecting households and communities throughout the state.
The National Policy for Rare Diseases 2021 identifies 55 uncommon illnesses, inflicting undue monetary pressure and societal affect. With an estimated 1, 000 sufferers at present affected by these uncommon illnesses in Haryana, the federal government goals to alleviate the financial burden confronted by affected people and their households.
