CHANDIGARH: Continuing in its march to rework women of Punjab into ‘Women of Substance’, yet another Lady Cadet of Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) for Girls, SAS Nagar (Mohali) has been chosen for pre-commission coaching on the premier Indian Air Force Academy, Dundigal. The coaching for the course will start on the academy from January 2024 onwards.
The chosen Lady Cadet Arshdeep Kaur hails from Khamano in district Fatehgarh Sahib and her father Mr. Daljinder Pal Singh runs a non-public enterprise.
Congratulating the daughter of Punjab for her choice within the prestigious Air Force Academy, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr Aman Arora reiterated the dedication of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government to allow women from the state to turn into commissioned officers within the Armed Forces, whereas concurrently pursuing their training.
Expressing contentment over the number of the girl cadet, the Director of Mai Bhago AFPI Major General Jasbir Singh Sandhu, AVSM (Retd.) prolonged his greatest needs to the girl cadet for her vibrant future forward in defence providers.
