Chandigarh: In order to ensure responsive and effective services to the citizens of Chandigarh, Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today directed all officers and officials of MCC to submit their work progress along with photographs on a Google Form on daily basis.
While sharing about this development, the Commissioner said that this is to ensure 100% compliance of assignments given to the field staff.
She said that this will not only help in record keeping but also become an important tool for submitting assignments and getting response from the field staff. She said that this form is very simple to fill and necessary directions have been issued to the concerned senior officers to impart training to their subordinate staff.
She further said that the field staff will have to fill the form and their progress will automatically be saved as a draft and the senior officers can check the field reports and assignments on their phones immediately after submission of the same.
The Commissioner further said that necessary directions have been issued to all officers to fill this form during every field/site inspection/visit. Officials only need to login to their Google account before filling the form and the images of progress to be uploaded in the Google Form, she added.
She said that the field staff and concerned officers will have to upload “before” and “after” photographs of work done in the progress form. She said that the Municipal Corporation is committed to extend best possible services to the citizens of Chandigarh and timely completion of projects.
