Chandigarh- In order to make sure sufficient area for farmers to promote their produce close to their properties, Punjab Government will assemble two new grain markets (Mandis) at village Saneta of SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Arniwala Sheikh Subhan in Fazilka district, stated Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Minister of Punjab Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Punjab.
Chairing a gathering of Punjab Mandi Board officers right here at Kisan Bhawan, Mr Khudian stated that the grain market at Arniwala will likely be unfold over 12 acres, whereas, Saneta Mandi will likely be established at over 5 acres land. He stated that there are complete of 1872 grain markets within the state.
The Cabinet Minister requested the Joint Secretary Punjab Mandi Board to expedite the method to arrange these grain markets on the earliest
