PATIALA:District and Sessions Judge, Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal, today, alongwith Ms Parminder Kaur, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, visited Yadwindra Puran Bal Niketan Lahori Gate, Patiala Patiala.
During the visit, he interacted with children residing there, regarding their study, food and grievances/problems, if any, being faced by them. During this visit, complaints/problems of the children were heard and redressed. Number of children, residing there, was checked. Further, it was checked that whether proper record/registers are being maintained. It was also checked whether dining/washroom areas were maintained properly or not. It was also checked whether proper food/diet/drinking water is being given to the children and whether children are satisfied with quality of food/diet/drinking water. Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal, District & Sessions Judge and Ms Parminder Kaur, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala themselves tasted the cooked food to check the quality. At the time of inspection, instructors were teaching the children. Further children were asked about their study and recreational/vocational activities being conducted for them. Requisite directions were given to take special care of health and education of the children. Ms Urbil Puri, Chairperson, disclosed that in the children home, open air gym has also been constructed. The open air gym was also inspected by District & Sessions Judge. Incharge of Children Home was directed to ensure that there should be no laxity in the facilities being provided to the children.
