A Punjab court docket on Monday granted bail to Congress legislator Sukhpal Khaira, who was booked in a felony intimidation case.
He was booked for intimidation on the day he obtained bail from the Punjab and Haryana High Court in a 2015 medication case. The three-time MLA obtained the bail from a court docket in Kapurthala.
Khaira, the Bholath MLA, was booked on January 4 below offences of felony intimidation and threatening an individual to offer false proof.
In the medication case, he was arrested on September 29 final 12 months by Punjab Police from his Chandigarh residence.
Responding to the bail, Leader of Opposition, Partap Singh Bajwa, stated justice has prevailed and it is the defeat of repression achieved by the state authorities led by Bhagwant Mann.
