Chandigarh- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the drug case involving Shiromani Akali Dal chief and former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia has been reconstituted.
M.S. Chhina, IGP Patiala Range, will now head the SIT instead of Rahul S., Director Vigilance Bureau.
Majithia was booked in December 2021 for allegedly serving to medicine smugglers.
Responding to the brand new appointment, SAD on Sunday stated there was nothing new within the altering of the chief of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) because the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP authorities was forcing officers to toe the road of the federal government in opposition to senior Akali chief Bikram Singh Majithia whilst celebration termed this train as all politics solely to settle political vendetta in opposition to opponents.
Launching a scathing assault on the AAP authorities, Arshdeep Singh Kler, chief of celebration’s authorized cell, stated after failing on all fronts to carry out, the federal government was making an attempt to divert the eye of Punjabis, and this isn’t the primary time the chief of SIT has been modified.

He stated a couple of and a half years had handed since this case was registered and until date, the federal government and the police have did not file challan within the case as a result of there was no proof of mistaken doing by Majithia.
