Chandigarh-In the National Youth Festival organised by the Government of India, Punjab gained the second place within the people music competitors and the third place within the people dance competitors. Youth Services Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has congratulated the successful youth.
The twenty seventh National Youth Festival was organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports within the metropolis of Nashik in Maharashtra during which youth from 28 states and eight Union Territories of India participated. Under the management of Assistant Director of Youth Services Department Punjab Kulwinder Singh and Raghbir Singh Mann, 100 youth of Punjab participated in numerous competitions. Taranpreet Singh of Punjab gained the second place within the people music competitors and the Bhangra crew of Punjab gained the third place within the group people dance. The second place crew bought a money prize of Rs. 1 lakh and the third place crew bought a prize cash of Rs. 75 thousand.
Youth Services Minister Meet Hayer congratulated the winners and stated that they’ve introduced laurels to the identify of Punjab on the National stage. He stated that the State authorities led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is dedicated to advertise the wealthy cultural heritage of Punjab.
