To bolster water conservation and administration efforts, the Punjab Government on Wednesday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a non-public firm.

The settlement, the first-of-its-kind in Punjab, was signed between the Department of Soil and Water Conservation and the Hoshiarpur-based paper firm Kuantum Papers Ltd.

The minister stated this partnership with a non-public sector entity was the first-of-its-kind within the state.

Jauramajra stated the initiative would bolster the personal sector’s involvement within the state’s water conservation for the primary time.

“It will significantly boost the government’s water conservation programs and lay the groundwork for future public-private collaborations, ” stated the minister.

He outlined that beneath this MoU the corporate will present funding for each new and ongoing tasks associated to water useful resource conservation and administration by way of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds or particularly allotted funds.
