In a landmark initiative aimed toward facilitating the NRIs touchdown on the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, the Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday gave approval to arrange a facilitation centre on the arrival corridor of the worldwide terminal.
The centre shall be manned around the clock and can present help to all of the NRIs and different passengers arriving on the terminal.
Efforts shall be made to offer appropriate sitting association for the passengers or their kin within the facilitation centre, an official assertion stated.
The passengers or kin shall be given help concerning arrival flights, connecting flights, taxi companies, misplaced baggage amenities and others on the airport.
In case passenger want, the centre can have tie-ups with taxi companies obtainable at affordable charges. In addition, it can even have automobiles at its disposal for serving to passengers for native motion to Punjab Bhawan and at different locations in shut neighborhood.
