Shillong- The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra (BJNY) being led by Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Monday entered Meghalaya from Assam with a “padyatra” (foot march).
The BJNY crossed into Meghalaya from Morigaon district of Assam on late Monday afternoon.
Soon after getting into Meghalaya, Rahul Gandhi and people accompanying him took half in a padyatra near Nongpoh, the headquarters of Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya.
Before spending the night time at Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi district, the previous Congress president is scheduled to deal with a public assembly at Nongpoh.
He can be anticipated to work together with youths on Tuesday morning alongside the Assam-Meghalaya border.
