The Punjab authorities has launched an quantity of Rs. 33.65 crores for nutritious meals equipped by Anganwadi Centres.

Providing data on this regard, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that the provision of dietary objects to the beneficiaries in Anganwadi centres of the state is being carried out by Markfed. Under the Supplementary Nutrition Program Scheme, the provision made by Markfed throughout the present monetary yr has been paid. Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that Rs. 4.17 crores to Amritsar district, Rs. 65.94 lakhs to Barnala, Rs. 2.28 crores to Bathinda, Rs. 40.22 lakhs to Faridkot, Rs. 4.35 crores and Rs. 5.99 lakhs (Cooking Coast) to Fazilka , Rs. 4 crores and Rs. 4.69 lakhs (Cooking Coast) to Ferozepur, Rs. 1.56 crore to Gurdaspur, Rs. 5 crores to Hoshiarpur, Rs. 2.51 crores to Jalandhar, Rs. 97.48 lakhs to Ludhiana, Rs. 97.33 lakhs to Mansa, Rs. 50 lakhs to Moga, Rs. 92 lakhs to Ropar, Rs. 3.07 crores to Sangrur and Rs. 2.14 crores to Kapurthala have been allotted .

Dr. Baljit Kaur talked about that the federal government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is persistently striving for the welfare of the folks of the state and particular consideration is being paid to kids, pregnant ladies and lactating moms is dedicated to their welfare.
