Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Thursday booked a retired District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO), Kuldeep Singh, who was additionally holding the cost of ADC (D) Pathankot and 7 personal people in reference to 734 kanal & one marla Panchayat land rip-off. Two beneficiary girls have been arrested within the case.
Revealing this right here right this moment, an official spokesperson of the VB stated that the accused ADC Kuldeep Singh had introduced a choice in favour of personal people in a case of Veena Parmar & others versus Gram Panchayat of village Gol in Narot Jaimal Singh block of Pathankot district on 27-02-2023. With this mala fide intentioned choice, he had paved option to switch the 734 kanal and one marla of shamlat land to some personal people.
In this regard, an FIR no. 26 dated 09-08-2023 underneath sections 409, 420, 120-B of IPC and 13 (1) (A), 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered at Police Station VB, Amritsar Range towards Ex-DDPO Kuldeep Singh resident of Makboolpura (Amritsar) and beneficiaries of the choice embody Veena Parmar resident of Krishna Nagar Hoshiarpur, Inderdeep Kaur resident of Ferozepur City, Bharati Banta resident of Krishna Nagar Pathankot, Tarsem Rani resident of Gurdaspur, Balwinder Kaur resident of village Taragarh (Pathankot), Manjit Kaur resident of village Taragarh (Pathankot) and Parveen Kumari resident of village Kalanaur (Gurdaspur).
The spokesperson stated that the accused Inderdeep Kaur resident of Ferozepur City and Bharati Banta resident of Krishna Nagar Pathankot, who benefitted round 29 acres Panchayat land, have been arrested and a manhunt has been launched to arrest the remaining accused.
