Chandigarh- The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) throughout its anti-corruption marketing campaign, on Monday has nabbed a income Patwari Narinder Kumar alias Neeta, posted at income halqua Malout, Sri Mukatsar Sahib district crimson handed for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 3, 000.
Disclosing this right here at present, a spokesperson of the VB stated this case has been registered towards the above stated income official on the grievance of Surjit Singh, a resident village Malout in Sri Mukatsar Sahib district.
Giving particulars he added that the complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the above stated Patwari has demanded Rs 10, 000 as a bribe in lieu of mutation of his land and has taken Rs 2, 000 and Rs 1, 000 on two events. The complainant additional alleged that the stated Patwari has demanded Rs 3, 000 extra for coming into the stated mutation in income information and he has recorded the dialog whereas the Patwari was demanding this bribe from him.
The spokesperson additional added that the VB unit of Bathinda vary has investigated the allegations levelled within the grievance and laid a lure wherein the accused Patwari has been arrested crimson handed whereas accepting a bribe of Rs 3, 000 from the complainant within the presence of two official witnesses.
